Hello Community,
It is common sense that transportation execution steps provide important milestones for the operation. Thus, we have processes that are executed as we advance with the freight execution. For example, many companies, when finishing loading items into transportation resources, consider the goods issues as finalized. Thus, SAP TM provides the functionality to perform PGI or PGR through an execution event of freight orders/bookings.
With the release of the new features of SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPS01, process control through transportation execution has been increased, and it is now possible to control billing through events.
It is now possible to create deliveries, execute the PGI/PGR and then create the customer invoices related to this process. All through Transportation Management.
Obviously, the successful execution of these processes depends on the validations that exist in these modules. In addition, we must remember that the execution of this functionality occurs through the BGRFC and that it is done in background. Therefore, there may unprocessed documents due to failed verifications, which must be monitored.
However, it is important to remember that the BGRFC configuration must be in accordance with good practices ( https://me.sap.com/notes/2641251/E) and its mandatory correction notes must be implemented ( https://me.sap.com/notes/2963724/E). Also remember to check the field below in the freight order settings:
