I wanted to share some highlights in case you missed this week's Webinar with C.H. Robinson:
In a vivid discussion with my colleagues
Doug DeLuca and
Bernie Bolte,
Megan Orth, Senior Director Commercial Connectivity at C.H. Robinson not only shared insights on the current logistics market dynamics, but also provided their perspective on digitization, and how they as a logistics service provider benefit from connecting with
SAP Business Network for Logistics just once to instantly be able to collaborate with all our customers on the end-to-end freight order lifecycle, in real time. Their investment already turned out to be worthwhile: they benefit from the network effect, as we have many customers in common, as we both strive for improving logistics operations as our service to those.
She also highlighted the benefits of C.H. Robinson using API integration compared to EDI (a topic nicely explained in a recent
blog of my colleague
Jeff Gebo).
As per
Megan, given the current over supply, now is the ideal time for shippers to strategize, build relationships and act on more advanced digitization, as this can help saving 10 minutes effort per shipment, leading to a reduction in shipment handling cost of up to 10-20%.
This again closed the loop to a live poll that was discussed rather at the beginning of the Webinar, wherein
'Automating and digitizing your supply chain processes' was rated as the top logistics opportunity in 2023 by a striking 85% of attendees.
I found the live polls and the related discussion specifically interesting, but these are definitely not the only reason to watch the full Webinar replay, which you can access via this registration
