This year, we have 14 streams covering the entirety of the SAP landscape. We have Strategic SAP Advisor, Sean Culey delivering a session on Creating Disruptive Advantage - Thriving in the Sixth Wave: The Need for a Copernican Business Revolution.
The Session
In this visually rich presentation based on the content of his new book ‘Transition Point’, Sean discusses the transition from the Age of Industry to the Age of Intelligent Automation, and how a new, sixth wave of disruptive technologies is fundamentally changing nearly every aspect of the end-to-end Supply Chain, including the relationship between customer and company. He will present a glimpse into the very near future where a ‘triple whammy’ of automation will result in a self-driving Value Chain that is fully automated, personalised, local and transparent. Using videos and innovative presentation tools he will outline the nature of the changes, from demand capture to manufacture and fulfilment, and define the impact this may have on businesses, jobs and economies worldwide. Finally, he will discuss how companies need to react to these changes, through changes in their mindsets and methods as much as in their machines, in order to be successful moving forwards.
Delegates will learn:
• How recent technological developments in 3D printing, robotics and AI are initiating a new industrial revolution that will disrupt every part of the global Supply Chain
• Why the disruption to date is only the beginning of the transition, and that more disruption is yet to come
• Why a convergence of these disruptive technologies will mean the end of the mass produced, human-driven supply chain
• How companies need to adapt to these changes in order to survive
• The affect this paradigm shift will have on the very nature of work, the challenges this will create and how some business and even societies will struggle to survive in this new world
