S&OP Planning Model Configuration Guide

To answer everyday questions about managing your planning model, SAP Sales and Operations Planning just released the new SAP S&OP Planning Model Configuration Guide. Based on the new Web user  interface, this guide provides task-based information to help you carry out common operations, such as:

  • Creating master data types and attributes, time profiles, planning areas, planning levels, key figures, scenarios, and planning operators
  • Activating and copying your planning model
  • Managing reason codes and global configuration parameters

Create a Planning Model

Not only can you use the SAP S&OP Planning Model Configuration Guide to complete routine planning model tasks, you can also use the guide to build a Demand planning model from scratch. By using the model setup overview and process description in conjunction with the examples in the tasks, you can produce a full-fledged model with all of the required objects. If you use the guide to build a planning model, be sure to follow the instructions from beginning to end, in sequential order.
