With each quarterly release of SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain, SAP shares information on the newest features or important changes contained in the new release.

For your overview, below is a collection of the official SAP "What's New" content for the latest releases of SAP IBP (for the year 2022). For each release, the following are listed:

  • The "What's New" document of SAP Help Portal (in HTML & PDF format if full PDF is available)

  • The "Available Now!" article in SAP Blogs

  • The "What's New SAP Best Practices" video (plus related SAP Blogs article & SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions (RDS) Best Practices Explorer)

  • SAPIBP1 Documentation (which begins with a "What‘s New" section)

As a functional consultant, I have found most of these sources indispensable for truly understanding IBP as it develops; whether for a certification study, or as a resource for customer-facing work.

Please note that an IBP release is codified by four digits. The first two digits of the release codification represent the year. The releases of year 2022, for example, start with 22. The last two digits represent the month of the release. IBP 2208 for example has been released in August 2022; and IBP 2211 has been released around November 2022. Each year has four releases, one every three months (February, May, August, November).
