Introduction: I have seen plenty of Warehouse Order Creation Rule blogs which explain about WOCR concept and steps involved and detailed explanation about each step.

But I haven’t seen much on WOCR which explain about real time applications.

So, I thought of writing few Scenarios based WOCR blogs. So, I decided to take below real time scenarios.

  • Scenario 1: In a complex Warehouse, warehouse manager asking to group N number of WT in a WO so that picker can pick all loose qty of N products in the same pick HU.

  • Scenario 2: Each storage type pick tasks should be grouped together and create under one WO, so that picker can pick all picks of one storage type in one pick HU.

  • Scenario 3: system should create the Pick HU automatically.

  • Scenario 4: WOCR determination based on resource type like

Human Resource (picker) – Ground floor picking,

Forklift- level 2 to level-6,

High reach truck- level 7-10.

  • Scenario 5: Pick and Pack multiple deliveries of same ship to in same Pick HU.

  • Scenario 6: Multiple storage types of materials should be picked and packed in same pick HU.

  • Scenario 7: Sort the WT according to the Destination storage type/Bin and create the WO.

  • Scenario 8: Sort the WT according to the PED ,Owner and create the WO.

  • Scenario 9: Sort the WT according to the WPT and create the different WO for different WPTs.

  • Scenario 10: Sort the WT according to the Source Storage type/Bin and create the different WO for different Source st type/Bin.

  • Scenario 11: Filter the WO according to the min/ max weight.

  • Scenario 12: maximum ships to per WO.

  • Scenario 13: Maximum ship to parties per HU.

  • Scenario 14: Minimum WT per HU.

  • Scenario 15: Maximum WT per HU.

In this blog, I am going to discuss about

  • Scenario 1: In a complex Warehouse, warehouse manager asking to group N number of WT in a WO so that he can pick all loose qty of N products in the same pick HU.

For above case I will take one WO should have maximum of 5 WT.

Configurations:

  1. Define number ranges for the WO.

  2. Define Sort rules for Warehouse Task.

  3. Define filters for warehouse order creation Rules

  4. Define limit Values for the size of the WO.

  5. Define Creation Rule for WO.

  6. Define Search Sequence for WOCR

  7. Removal strategies-

  8. Testing

1) Define number ranges for the WO.

SPRO-IMG settings- SCM EWM- EWM- Cross process settings- Warehouse Order- Define number ranges  for Warehouse Order.

1

Assign number ranges to Warehouse.

2

2)  Define Sort rules for Warehouse Task.

SPRO-IMG settings- SCM EWM- EWM- Cross process settings- Warehouse Order- Define Sort rules for Warehouse Task.

Define Sort rules- PIPA- pick path.

3

Define Sort fields-

4

3)   Define filters for warehouse order creation Rules.

SPRO-IMG settings- SCM EWM- EWM- Cross process settings- WO- Define filters for warehouse order creation Rules.

created WR01 with filter type - Warehouse Task.

5

No need  any specific Filter needs to maintain in this scenario.

4)   Define limit Values for the size of the WO.

SPRO-IMG settings- SCM EWM- EWM- Cross process settings- WO- Define limit Values for the size of the WO.

6

Here we have to mention the max number of WT per WO as -5 .

so that system will consider this value as limit of WTs in the WO.

5)   Define Creation Rule for WO.

SPRO-IMG settings- SCM EWM- EWM- Cross process settings- WO- Define Creation Rule for WO.

7

6)   Define Search Sequence for WOCR

SPRO-IMG settings- SCM EWM- EWM- Cross process settings- WO- Define Search Sequence for WOCR.

7) Removal strategies-

SPRO-IMG settings- SCM EWM- EWM- Goods Issue process- Strategies- Define Stock Removal control indicator –WOR1.

9

10

SPRO-IMG settings- SCM EWM- EWM- Goods Issue process- Strategies- Determine Storage Search sequence –WOR1.

Testing :

  • Create Sales order-VA01.

12

  • Create Out bound delivery against to sales order.

13

  • Now create the Picking task , and check the WO information.

14

Total 9 tasks created for the 9 line items as above.

So these 9 task grouped in 2 WO, cause maximum number of WT per the WO is 5.

15

He above 9 WTs should be grouped as 5 WT in fist WO , remaining 4 in second WO as shown below.

16

Conclusion: Hope You Understood how to limit the WT numbers in WO.

Stay tuned for remaining 14 scenarios Blogs.

Please do comment and share for better reach. Hope someone benefit by above blog in his project.
