SAP-EWM- Level of available Qty: Storage bin

Introduction:  In one of the warehouse, requirement is like, whenever any pick task create from bulk storage it should propose only source bin not source HU , so that picker can pick any of the HU from the bin.

Assume in bin all are homogeneous product HUs, no mix stock and all HUs are with same qty.

We are going to achieve the requirement below configs.

CONFIGRUTAION:

1. Define storage type.


2. Define warehouse process type (BL40) for picking.


3. Determine warehouse process type.


4. Storage Type Search Sequence: Definition


5. Assign Storage Types to Storage Type Search Seq.


6. Define Stock Removal Control Indicator


7. Determine Storage Type Search Sequence for Stock Removal

 

TESTING:

1. Create product master-> /N/SCWM/MAT1


2. Check available stock in Storage bin.


3. Create sales order VAO1


4. Create outbound delivery VL01N


5. create Picking task


6. Confirm picking task with scanned Source HU.

7. Determine Storage Type Search Sequence for Stock Removal

Testing:

1. Check product master details for PTDI and SRCI in -> /N/SCWM/MAT1

2. Check available stock in monitor /N/SCWM/MON

If you see , stock of product 5750 is having 25 qty of each HU  with 12  HUs in the bin, so when ever my pick task created system should propose the Bin instead of specific HU , so that what ever HU we want we can pick ( Note : order qty is single or multiples of 25)(Assume one HU full qty is 25 qty)

 

3. Create sales order VAO1. With Qty 25 EA.

4. Create outbound delivery VL01N.

5. Process the outbound delivery in ---- /N/SCWM/PRDO

Created WT for picking.

Now you can clearly see , system did not determined the source HU even we have 12 Hus available in it,

So now picker can go to bin and pick what ever HU he wants , he can pick ( He can scan in source HU)

now lets process the WO in RFUI.

As you can clearly see Source HU showing as blank, so here you can scan any one of the HU from 12 Hus.

Now task is confirmed our scanned HU.

Conclusion: Above scenario , I hope you understand how system will determine only bin so that any HU you can pick to fulfil the Warehouse task.
