Let’s understand the architecture behind the systems

SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration extends the capabilities of the Ariba Network, empowering buyers to collaborate effectively with suppliers on tasks such as planning, procurement, production, invoicing, and payment for direct materials within the supply chain.

Configuration Steps in IBP

1. Set-up the communication system
2. Configure the communication arrangement
3. Define the authentication method
4. Create a data sharing plan as a provider to send forecast to Ariba SCC
5. Create a data sharing plan as a consumer to receive supplier forecast commit from Ariba SCC

Step1.

Set-up the communication system :

There are two type of Authentication service is available.

• Authentication Using Client Certificate
• Authentication Using Shared Secret

For Both Authentication Maintain the Certificate Trust in IBP System in Maintain Certificate Trust List app.

• For using Authentication using Client Certificate use certservice-2.ariba.com ( ECC)
• For using Authentication using Shared Secret use Certificate use service-2.ariba.com ( ECC)

In above example Authentication is used as Shared Secret certification. Certification can be downloaded from above link and uploaded in Maintain Certificate Trust List app.

After Uploading the Certification, Maintain the secret password in Manage Ariba Network Credentials and End Points App.

   Imp Note : Maintain the same password in Ariba [Buyer System]

Step2.

Configure the communication arrangement

While creating new communication arrangements select scenario as SAP_COM_0201

Step3.

Define the authentication method

Refer step 1 for defining the authentication method.

Step4.

Create a data sharing plan as a provider to send forecast to Ariba SCC

Navigate to Manage Data Sharing Plans App and create a profile for Provider.

Step5.

Create a data sharing plan as a consumer to receive supplier forecast commit from Ariba SCC.

Output – [ Procurement Plan]

Here, Consensus Demand is 382 in Week 22 2024. This demand propagates to plant Frankfurt and ultimately to Demo Supplier as procurement plan. It is generated after running supply planning in IBP. The key figure to show this result is Transport supply, in this example.  

Note: KF Transport Supply is already Mapped in Provider Plan in Data Sharing Plan App.

Step6.

Run Application Job to Publish the data

This procurement plan will be published to Ariba SCC using provider data sharing plan. [Check Below Screen Shot]

Open Buyer Network

The supplier can see at Ariba system and perform commit. [ Check Below Screen Shot ]

Open Supply Network

Note: KF Supplier Commit is already Mapped in Consumer Plan in Data Sharing Plan App
