Outbound process:- Outbound refers to the transportation, the storage and the delivery of goods to customers or other businesses
An Outbound Logistics Example

- Order is confirmed, and products picked in the warehouse.
- Order is packed at warehouse.
- Transportation unit pick up daily orders.

Prerequisites
The basic Yard setup and Yard structure must be setup. YR, YO and YT types and number ranges must be defined.
Define the activity types within the Yard such as movement activities, loading/unloading, weighing, cleaning, maintenance etc.
In Customizing for Yard Logistics choose

Maintain Default activities types with in the Yard
SPRO -> Yard Logistics ->Yard Tasks -> Define Activity Types
Here I was used Rail/Train scenario. Following steps to be process using SAP Yard logistics.
Creation of Yard Request :-
Yard Requests are generally created using integration with systems with EWM &TM. Also YRs can be created manually.
Here I am going to tell how to create YR manually using NWBC to execute the scenario.
In SAP GUI enter NWBC transaction code, which redirects to the below screen. Click on
Create Yard Request.
While creating Yard Request need to maintain order type as Rail Outbound and Direction as Outbound.
Here it shows Outbound rail Yard request was created , once we hit release button in the tab it automatically creates Yard order. You cannot edit a Yard Request after it is released.
Here it shows the outbound yard order its in planned state .
Once Outbound Yard Order is created after that we need to check in transportation unit or Rail in that Gate.
For check-in purpose generating the Inbound Yard order by hitting the tab as shown below
Inbound Yard Order will be used to Check-in Transportation unit. Now click on
Generate Inbound Yard Order in order to check-in the transportation unit.
Once check-in happens complete the inbound yard order by hitting complete tab in the yard order.
From the life cycle status of Yard Order which is
Completed , it shows Inbound process is successfully completed. Now click on
Switch to Outbound Yard Order it will redirect to Outbound Yard Order.
Here it shows yard task is in pending states once we hit start processing tab executions of Yard tasks starts.
Here it shows task is in active state after hitting start processing tab.
Here onwards execution's of yard tasks starts
In execution area for easy understanding purpose .I was chose 4 simple tasks as below
- Check-in at Gate to weighing area.
- weighing task
- weighing area to door.
- loading task
- door to check out gate
In this task movement activities takes place ,transportation unit has been moved to weighing area
Once weighing has been done Transportation unit moves to Door
Here loading of Transportation unit take place
Once loading has been done . Transportation unit move to check-out Gate
Once all tasks confirmed as shown below
Click on Check-out button, then life cycle status and execution status is changed to
Completed.
It Means Transportation Unit has been successfully check out and process is completed.
Note:- Transportation unit means Train/Rail numbers or carriage numbers for easy identification purpose.
