Product Reference for Packaging Specification

Introduction:

In the Current business Scenario, warehouses may receive different loose products for the first time and it would be hefty task to create packaging specification for each and every product hence with these below Configurations we can do with the creation of multiple packaging specifications and same can be achieved for single reference product packaging specification

We can test these scenario with single product or mixed product

To achieve this we have to follow these steps

1)create a Reference material and 2 materials in material master

2)Do the CIF and maintain at warehouse level product master

3)Assign Reference material to the materials at Packaging data in warehouse product master

4)Create pack spec for reference and maintain Condition record OIBD with CUIBDHU Combination at pack spec level

5)Check the box Ref Mix allowed at Reference product

6)Testing

Configuration:

1)Create a Reference Product (JUN7)

2)Do the CIF and then maintain at Warehouse Level in Product Master

Tcode:/N/SCWM/MAT1

 

3)Maintain the Reference Product for Material 1 & Material 2 at Packaging Data in Warehouse Product Maintenance

Material 1-JUN8

Material 2-JUN9

 

4)Create a pack spec for reference material and maintain Packaging Specifications for Reference Product IN -/SCWM/PACK SPEC (In condition Table need to select CUIBDHU instead of SAPIBD01 in Pack spec against 0IBD)

5)Check the box Ref Mix allowed at Reference product

Add a product & Reference mix allowed is  checked

 

In JNL1 level type Aux Pack material has been used

 

In JUL2 Level Type Cotton Box pack material has been used and Hu creation box need to check

 

After Assigning Pack Materials in Level Types Activate the Pack spec and the change it turns into green colour

 

Testing:

1)Create Shipping Notification in ERP with VL31N and distribute WMS

In IDN there no hu’s information will be displayed

In IBD hu’s information will be displayed

 

At Work center Products are distributed into HU

    AT WAREHOUSE TASK (TOTAL 25 QTY)---JUN8 CREATED 2 HU'S

                                                                             ---JUN9 CREATED 2 HU'S

                                                                   ---JUN8 & JUN9 CREATED 1 HU'S with  mixed quantity

Create the warehouse tasks

Confirm+save the warehouse tasks

In Monitor We can see the materials in the handling units

 

Conclusion:

The above process explains how a reference product packaging specification is useful in creating Hus with single product or mixed products.
