Outbound delivery:

Outbound delivery is a document that represents the process of shipping goods from the warehouse to a customer or another location. It is a crucial component of the order fulfillment process, detailing the items to be shipped, their quantities, and their destinations.

Warehouse Task:

It is a fundamental element of warehouse operations that represents a specific action or set of actions to be performed within the warehouse. Warehouse tasks are used to manage and direct various warehouse activities, such as picking, putaway, and inventory handling.

Document type:

Document type is a classification used to define and manage different types of documents or transactions within the warehouse management system. Document types help in organizing and controlling various warehouse processes by specifying how different types of documents should be processed, managed, and handled.

Delivery Type:

It is a classification used to define and manage different types of outbound deliveries within the warehouse management system. Delivery types determine how specific types of delivery documents are processed and handled, including the rules and procedures associated with each delivery type.

Stock Transfer Order:

STO refers to the process of moving inventory from one location to another within or between warehouses. Stock transfers are essential for managing inventory, optimizing warehouse operations, and ensuring that stock levels are appropriately adjusted based on storage needs and operational requirements.

Return Delivery:

It is a type of outbound delivery used to process the return of goods from a customer or another location back to the warehouse. This process is crucial for managing returns, handling reverse logistics, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Post Goods Issue:

It is an essential process that represents the physical removal of goods from the warehouse inventory. It is a crucial step in various warehouse and logistics processes, including outbound deliveries, internal movements, and inventory management. The goods issue process updates inventory records to reflect the fact that items have been dispatched or otherwise removed from storage.

Issue:

The EWM Queue error “No document type found for delivery EL from system” is caused because of the missing configuration document type ZS for the Delivery type EL is missing.

 

Step1: Create the STO (Stock Transfer order) using the transaction code ME21N

Step2: Create the Outbound delivery using the transaction code VL10B

Navigate to the Purchase order tab, provide the Purchasing document number and then Click on the execute button.

The Outbound delivery will be created and distributed to EWM

Step3:

Navigate to the outbound delivery using the transaction code /N/SCWM/PRDO

Confirming the warehouse order.

Performed Post Goods Issue

Step4:

Inbound delivery is automatically created as soon as the PGI is completed for the outbound delivery.

Step5:

Inbound delivery is stuck in queue and not processed to EWM with EWM queue error “No document type found for delivery type EL from system”

Step6:

Maintained the configuration document type ZS for the Delivery type EL is missing in the EWM system.

Step7:

Reprocessed the Inbound queue using the transaction code.

Step8:

The Inbound delivery is distributed to EWM.

Navigate to the transaction code /N/SCWM/PRDI to display the Inbound delivery.
