EWM uses the Post Processing Framework (PPF) to specify whether PPF is able to perform a PPF action (for example, printing), within the PPF, EWM calls determination of the condition technique in order to find the appropriate condition records for performing a PPF action.
In this post, I would like to introduce how to set up Forms & Labels print in EWM. This blog will not go in detail how to create Form or create custom PPF but about assign Form and setup condition record to trigger Form/Label printing. Example is based on Standard form.
This post includes below Form/Label:
1. Warehouse Order/ Warehouse Task print
2. Handling Unit print
3. TU Loading list print
4. Physical Inventory count sheet print
5. Delivery Note print
Defined warehouse-number-specific print settings (in particular the spool parameters).
Tcode: /SCWM/60000431 - Maintain Warehouse-Specific Printing Parameters
Create spool and assign default printer
EWM can use this function to automatically print lists during creation of warehouse orders and warehouse tasks. These lists contain information about the storage bin to and from which a warehouse employee should move specific goods.
From warehouse management monitor, can manually print a warehouse order, which also prints all corresponding warehouse tasks. For example, the first printout is damaged, or your require a second printout.
Example scenarios to trigger WO Print:
Example Standard WO Smart Form
IMG: SCM Extended Warehouse Management > Extended Warehouse Management > Cross-Process Settings > Warehouse Order > Print
Define Condition Types
Define Determination Procedure and assign Condition Type to Determination Procedure
Assign Determination Procedure to Warehouse and WPT
IMG: SCM Extended Warehouse Management > Extended Warehouse Management > Cross-Process Settings > Warehouse Order > Print > Define PPF Action Profiles
"Inactive" must not be ticked.
Create Condition record, Tcode: /SCWM/PRWO6 - Link Form with action definition
Condition is set to trigger PPF action, different form/ label can be set based on combination of WO status (open, confirmed, cancelled, blocked, in process), Activity Area, WPT and to be printed in different printer.
When WO/WT create or confirmed (depends on WO status set in condition), postprocessing framework calls the /SCWM/WME application with action definition /SCWM/WO and checks for the condition record for print action definition.
Example: Standard form /SCWM/WO_SINGLE
Example Standard form /SCWM/WO_MULTIPLE
EWM can use this function to automatically print lists or labels according to your Customizing settings, when you work with handling units (HUs). The documents can contain information about the contents, destination, owner, product number, quantity, batch number, weight, volume and data necessary for further processing of the HU.
You can use this function in the warehouse management monitor manually perform or repeat printing for a HU.
Example scenarios to trigger HU label:
Example Standard HU Form
IMG: SCM Extended Warehouse Management > Extended Warehouse Management > Cross-Process Settings > Handling Units > Basics > Print
Define Condition Types
Define Determination Procedure & Assign Condition Type to Determination Procedure
IMG: SCM Extended Warehouse Management > Extended Warehouse Management > Cross-Process Settings > Handling Units > Basics > Print > Define PPF Action Profiles
Condition record, Tcode: /SCWM/PRHU6 - Link Form & Action Definition
Different HU label can be set based on combination of HU type, HU step (create, change, delete, manual trigger HU printing), packaging material.
When you save HUs or confirm a warehouse task, the system calls the PPF and starts an attempt to print. The decision whether to print is dependent on the condition records that are found in the schedule condition.
Example Standard form /SCWM/HU_SHPLABEL
Example Standard form /SCWM/HU_CONTENT
In shipping and receiving, you can print the following documents for a vehicle or a transportation unit (TU) using PDF-based forms or SAP Smart Forms forms. This part will show example about TU Loading List.
In the header area of a TU or vehicle in the warehouse management monitor, you can manually print a TU-related document or vehicle-related document.
Example Standard Form
IMG: SCM Extended Warehouse Management > Extended Warehouse Management > Cross-Process Settings > Shipping and Receiving > Message Processing > Define Action Profiles for Transportation Units
Tcode: /SCWM/SR_PRINT - Set Up Printer and Form Determination
Create a Print Profile, then assign Action definition + Printer to Print Profile
Define Access Sequence and assign Print profile + Form name
Example Standard from /SCWM/SF_SR_TULOADLIST
The PI counting list includes PI counting items for the counting process. It also contains the warehouse order and PI document number as a bar code on header level.
The PI counting list contains the following information by default: Storage bin, Handling unit, Product, Product description, Batch, Quantity (for input), Unit of measure...

Define Condition Types
Create and Change Determination Procedure
Specify Action Profiles for Printing Physical Inv. Documents
Tcode: /SCWM/PRPI_GCM - Create Condition Records for Printing (Physical Inventory)

Print by Tcode: /SCWM/PI_PROCESS
or Tcode: /SCWM/PRPI_DOC
Example standard form /SCWM/PI_CNT_DOC
EWM automatically prints the delivery note for an outbound delivery as soon as you have posted the goods issue. By default, EWM uses the predefined SAP Smart Form /SCWM/DLV_NOTE.
IMG: Extended Warehouse Management > Cross-Process Settings > Delivery - Warehouse Request > Actions > Change Actions and Conditions Define Conditions
Define Action Profiles and Actions
IMG: Extended Warehouse Management > Goods Issue Process > Outbound Delivery > Print
Define Print Profiles for Delivery Processing
Define Print Profile Determination for Goods Issue Process
Determine Form Determination for Delivery Note Printing
Tcode: /n/SCWM/DLVPPFC
