SAP Logistics Management is our new solution in Supply Chain Management that combines warehousing and transportation management to streamline your operations with network-centric collaboration. In SAP Logistics Management, new features are released on a bi-weekly basis. 

In this blog post, you will learn about the new features in SAP Logistics Management that have been released today. 

 

Change Destination Bin on Warehouse Task Confirmation

With this release, we have enabled the functionality to confirm warehouse tasks with changes. When you open a warehouse task, the button “Confirm with Changes” is available at the top right corner. You can use this button during task confirmation to change the destination bin.

Further changes (e.g. change of quantity) will be supported soon.  

 

Warehouse Task Creation via Dialog

In order to improve the user experience, warehouse task creation in inbound, outbound and via the "Manage Stock" app is now possible via a dialog:

Deletion of Empty Shipping Handling Units

To improve workspace clarity and operational efficiency in the Packing Work Center, this feature introduces the ability to delete unused or accidentally created shipping handling units (HUs). It is enabled through a delete action (bin icon) added to each HU header and supports singular deletion of empty HUs.

Business Rule for Consolidation Cutoff - Additional input parameters

To provide a flexible but harmonized set of conditions across the different business rules, the business rule for consolidation cutoff (CONSOLIDATION_CUTOFF_SCHEDULE_DET_V1) has been enhanced by the following parameters: route, ship to party, shipping condition, and shipping point.

View 3D Warehouse Layout

With this feature, you can perform the following actions using the “View 3D Warehouse Layout” app:

  • View the graphical 3D warehouse layout with interactive features like zooming, rotating, panning, and viewing from predetermined camera angles.
  • Search for specific storage bins and access detailed information by choosing the storage bin directly on the graphical layout.
  • Update and regenerate the 3D graphical layout using the latest storage bin data.

Audit Logging Integration for Import of Organizational Model

This feature integrates the central audit logging service to track organizational model changes. It supports auditors by providing a reliable log of configuration changes and security events, such as malware detection during organizational model imports.

 

Visibility of Freight Request for Quotation ID and Freight Quotation ID for Shipper

Freight Request for Quotation ID and Freight Quotation ID are now part of the app "Manage Freight Tendering" hereby supporting Shipper and Carrier collaboration.

In addition, the search of Freight Tender is now possible trough providing the Freight Request for Quotation ID as filter.
