  1. Accessible via SAP Fiori launchpad. Your system administrator provides you with the URL to access the various apps assigned to your role.

Roles

Create business roles using the following SAP business role templates and assign them to your test users. 

Alternatively, if available, you can use the following spaces delivered by SAP. You create a space with pages containing predefined essential apps and assign it to the business role. You then assign this business role to your users.

Test Procedures

This section describes test procedures for each process step in this scope item.

Environmental Technician

Data Collection:

  1. Log on to the SAP Fiori launchpad as an Environmental Technician role Slaveya_2-1743310015314.png

  2. Choose My Data Collection App.

  3. You can get an overview of all data collections assigned to you.

  4. Data Collection by using Manual Entry

  5. Data Collection by importing a file

    • You can import environmental Data into multiple data collection definitions using a predefined template file.

    • Choose the Import Data option, and a window will pop up to import the file.

    • Click on Download Template File for import option, A Standard template (.XLSL) file will download to your Desktop.

    • Fill in the Data in the template as per the instructions in the file.

    • Save the template.

    • Click on Import Data, choose the Browse option, select the File name from your local Desktop, and import it.

    • If the imported data is correct, an imported message will appear on the screen.

    • If the imported data is incorrect, the system will throw errors. Attached some errors for reference (Ex-Date format is not valid).

    • Note: The Standard Data Import template contains two sheets (ENV_AMOUNT_MDEF and Table Field Descriptions). The user should enter the data only in the ENV_AMOUNT_MDEF sheet. If the user tries to fill in the data in the Table Field Descriptions sheet and import it into the system, the system will throw the error "File does not contain any records for import."

  6. Data Collection by using Manual Entry: 

    • Choose Edit and enter data values and a comment for pending records.
    • Choose Save. Your entries are saved in the system.

    Note: Repeat the above step to complete all the data collections.

Environmental Manager

Monitor Data

Procedure:

  1. Log on to the SAP Fiori launchpad as an Environmental Manager role.Slaveya_0-1743412905521.png
  2. Choose Monitor Data App. By using Monitor Data App, you can access environmental data records for a specific data collection, calculation, aggregation, or sampling activity.Slaveya_1-1743412939114.png

  3. Once the Monitor Data - Environment Management app opens, the system displays the recently opened monitor data.        Slaveya_2-1743412961285.png

  4. Choose Display by Location and select the Location from Location Structure. Location-related data will be displayed on the screen.

    Click on the title to which you want to see the graphic representation of Collected data, Calculated data, or aggregated data.

  5. Once you click on the Title option, it will navigate to the Monitor data screen, where you can see the data in both graphical representation and Table view.

    The following are the options you can find in the Monitor data collection screen.

    Approve: You can accept the value (collected or calculated) and provide a short description in the Comment field to explain your decision.
    Replace: You can replace an incorrect or missing value and provide a short description in the Comment field to explain your decision.
    Invalidate: If you consider a data record's value incorrect and do not want to use it further, you can invalidate it.
    Create Deviation Incident: You can create a deviation incident for a selected data record (collected or calculated data) and investigate its reason as part of another process.
    Export Data: You can export the collected, calculated, and Aggregated data into the spreadsheets.
    Import Data: Import the collected, calculated, and aggregate data into the spreadsheets.

 

Environmental Data Explorer

  2. Environmental Data Explorer app helps you to monitor the environmental data (collected, calculated, sampled, or aggregated) at a given location.

    By default, the app loads and displays environmental data for the location (and its subordinate locations) that is set as My Location.

    Choose a location that has environmental data that you want to display

    Under the Filter section, select or deselect the criteria that you wish. The app automatically loads and displays the existing data records.

  3. You can filter data by the following attributes:

    • Issue Type: Displays results of system checks against environmental limits, and data by availability.
    • Data Status: Displays data based on its applicability and validity.
    • Year: Displays environmental data every year.
    • Month: Displays environmental data every year.
    • Day: Displays environmental data every year.
    • Data Type: Displays data by compliance scenario activity type that specifies how it was recorded in the system.
    • Activity Name: Displays the name of the compliance scenario activity.
    • Subject: Displays data by the subject of the data records in the system.
    • Activity Name: Displays the name of the compliance scenario activity.
    • Data Title: Displays data by the names of the data records in the system.
    • Location: Displays all data by location.
    • Preliminary Result: Displays data records based on preliminary results of calculations and aggregations.

Query Browser

  • In the Custom Analytical Queries App,
    • Click the “Create” button to create a custom analytical query with an appropriate Query name.

  • In the Field Selection Tab, identify and select the necessary fields for your analysis(using the Check box). The required fields are Year, Current Date, Language Key, Main Location ID, Activity ID, Activity Name, Status, Date, Year and Month, and Amount Value( Optionally, add further fields for a more comprehensive analysis).Slaveya_17-1743414498024.png
  • In the Display tab: Optionally, Override Labels with appropriate names.
    Adjust Field Settings: Review and adjust the settings for each field as needed.Slaveya_18-1743414536815.png
  • In the Filters tab: Optionally, set fixed or user-defined filters.
    Fixed Values: Language Key = EN, Status = 02.

  • Save Draft: Save your work as a draft.
    Preview Results (Optional): preview the results to ensure accuracy.

  • Open Query Browser App: Launch the Query Browser application.

    Search for Published Analytical View: Locate the desired analytical view that has been published.

  • Enter Required Parameters: In the Analytics screen, input the necessary parameters such as Current Date, Location ID, Activity ID, and Year. Then, click on "Go".

  • Save Analytics (Optional): Use the options available in the top-right corner of the screen to:

     - Save the analytics as a tile.
     - Send an email.
     - Copy the URL.
