There are several enhancements in embedded EWM for S/4 HANA 1709 that you can look forward to.Following are the detail list of enhancements ..

Enhanced functionality

Labor Management Enhancements

  • Processor Data

  • Shift Master Data

  • Travel Distance Calculation

  • Time & Attendance

  • Labor Standards

  • Tracking and Monitoring


TCI / TCO

  • Skip delivery request objects

  • “combined picking” with enhanced features

  • Reduce Memory consumption of monitor nodes

  • Simplify “loading status”

  • Enhanced RF loading / picking transactions


Simplification

  • Support changes of outbound deliveries which are replicated to EWM


Upgrade to less

  • Enable de-installation of EWM on-top of ERP


 

Support Changes of the Outbound Delivery after handing over to EWM:

  • Be able to change the LE delivery even handed over to EWM

  • Offer the functionality for decentral EWM and EWM embedded in S/4HANA


Overall, the EWM S/4 release has the same scope and enhancements like the parallel EWM 9.5 release which is planned to be released later this year

S4HANA1709- I am testing a scenario to change the LE delivery already distributed to Embedded EWM  (No WT created). Necessary configuration is activated to allow change . SPRO-->LE--> EWM-->Basic setup of connectivity-->Configure SAP EWM-Specific Parameters.Has anybody tested this feature?
