SFC-Based Scheduling

The brand new SFC-Based Scheduling feature of Resource Orchestration (REO), which is part of SAP Digital Manufacturing 2502 Release, enables the scheduling of individual SFCs and their related operation activities against work centers. Once an order is released, this new feature allows for the generation of SFC schedules, which can then be scheduled against work centers using all available scheduling algorithms.

Automatic Retry of Actions in Subscriptions

If a production process, service, or message publishing is a subscription action and it fails, you can ask the system to retry it automatically in the Manage Automatic Triggers app. You also have the option to define whether the action is retried sequentially or in parallel in the automatic retry settings.

SAP Hosted Email Service for Alert-related Email Notifications

In the Settings tab of the Manage Alert Configurations app, you can select the SAP Hosted Email Service option to have alerts-related email notifications be sent through an SAP hosted email service.

When you select SAP Hosted Email Service, no additional configuration is required, so you don't need to set up mail server configurations.

It's important to know that if you'd previously set up a customer hosted email service through the process outlined in Configure Email Notifications, the alert-related email notifications will continue to be sent through that customer hosted email service.

Standalone (Non-WIP) Data Collection

A Standalone (Non-WIP) option is added in the user interface of the Manage Data Collection app that allows you to collect data at an SFC level independent of the status of the SFC or the location on the routing or the recipe.

The following endpoint is added to the Data Collection API: POST /standalone/log for logging Standalone (Non-WIP) Data Collection.

Service Order Download Enhancement

You can download these service order fields from your integrated SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA system:
Final due date of the service order
Storage location and batch number of components
Operation duration unit of measure
Task list type
Group
Group counter
Reservation item and reservation number of components
Maintenance plan

These fields aren't part of the standard IORDER01 IDoc, so SAP Digital Manufacturing fetches them after the IDoc download using a BAPI call. For this call to work, you need to map your plant to the destination of your ERP system in SAP Cloud Integration under Plant Settings in your SAP S/4HANA Integration with SAP Digital Manufacturing integration package.

The Service Order IORDER01 pre-process request artifact, which is part of the IORDER01_STD_PREXSLT standard pre-xslt workflow available in the Manage Integration Workflows app, uses the destination to make the BAPI call to your ERP system.

Personalize the Skill Matrix Columns

In the Skill Matrix app, you can personalize the skill matrix columns according to your preferences. As a production supervisor, you can select necessary skills from the comprehensive master list to customize the Skill Matrix application.

This customization feature is compatible with both SAP SuccessFactors integration and third-party HR integration scenarios.
