AI-Assisted Draft Risk Assessments in SAP Asset Performance Management

We invite you to join our latest SAP Customer Engagement Initiative (CEI) focused on using AI to detect unassessed assets and automatically propose draft risk assessments — an exciting innovation in SAP Asset Performance Management (APM).

We’re looking for reliability engineersasset managers, and maintenance leads to co-innovate with us and help shape intelligent automation for risk assessment. This is a great opportunity for Customers and Partners to gain early insights into product developments and actively collaborate with SAP teams to shape the future of SAP solutions.

Registration is open until November 15, 2025. Sign up today!

Why This Matters

Reliability engineers today spend valuable time manually tracking new technical objects synced from Cloud ERP into APM and verifying whether they already have matching risk assessments. This process is manual, time-consuming, and prone to inconsistencies.

Through this CEI, we aim to leverage AI-driven automation to:

  • Detect technical objects without existing risk assessments.
  • Propose draft assessments based on historical data and similar asset patterns.
  • Reduce manual effort and potential human error.
  • Improve coverage and consistency across your asset base.

Together, we’ll define a more efficient approach to risk assessment management in APM.

What You’ll Help Define

You’ll collaborate with the APM Product Management team to explore:

  • Intelligent detection and AI-based proposal logic.
  • Seamless integration with APM and Cloud ERP.
  • User-friendly workflows for reviewing and refining AI drafts.
  • Transparent explainability for trust and auditability.

What to Expect

  • Initial Call: Project goals and roadmap (Dec 10, 2025)
  • Workshops / Site Visits: Depending on availability
  • Video Conferences: Manageable intervals for feedback and alignment
  • Usability and Prototype Testing: Early look at concepts in action
  • Closing Call: Wrap-up and next steps

Estimated effort: 4–6 hours per month

Who Can Join

  • Target Users: Reliability Engineers focused on risk assessments — responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to ensure asset safety, uptime, and performance.
  • Regions: APJ, EMEA, and Americas
  • Company Size: Mid-size to large enterprises
  • Partners: Welcome to join, especially those with asset management expertise.

Why Participate

By joining, you’ll:

  • Influence the design of AI-enabled risk assessment features in APM.
  • Contribute your practical experience to shape real-world use cases.
  • Test early prototypes and collaborate directly with SAP experts.
