Introduction

Last Indicator Value Plugin displays the most recent values of key indicators for assets within the Asset Perspective of the Line Monitor POD. It provides real-time updates with minimal latency, ensuring that operators always have access to the latest data. Example:

Key Features

  • Multiple View Modes:

    • Last Value: Shows the most recent value of an indicator.

    • Multi-Value: Displays the five most recent values, along with a timeline indicating when each was recorded.

  • Customizable Appearance:

    • Assign colors and icons to indicators to improve quick identification.

    • Control the display sequence of indicators.

  • Data Compatibility:

    • Supports numeric, string, and boolean data types.

    • Handles UTC timestamps, automatically converting them to the plant's local time.

  • Seamless Integration:

    • Directly posts values from shop floor systems to the cloud using the Production Connector via the /value POST endpoint. This API allows you to post the indicator's value that you've selected from the shop floor, via Production Connector for SAP Digital Manufacturing, to Cloud in real time. These values are displayed in the Line Monitor POD's Asset tab.

Customizable Appearance

Last Indicator Value Plugin supports the following customizations:

  • You can select colors for the latest indicator values displayed in your POD, as well as icons for each of the indicator values that have View Mode Display set to Last Value.
  • Selecting colors and icons helps you to identify latest indicator values at a glance when you have multiple instances of the plugin in your POD.
  • You can also set the sequence in which the indicators are displayed in your POD.

Best Practices for Configuration

  • Use POD Designer to place the plugin within a Plugin Container in the Asset Details (Layout) of your Line Monitor POD.

  • Set the Plugin Container's height to "auto" to allow dynamic resizing.

  • Place the Last Indicator Value Plugin at the top of the Asset Detail page for optimal visibility, minimizing disruptions from automatic plugin refreshes.
