TRL – Material Master changes FS

1. Control Code Field:

Existing functionality:

When utilizing the MM01, MM02 &  ZSD338 transaction codes to create or extend materials, In the Material Master's Internal Trade Export view, the Control Code Field is currently set to allow 4 digits.

New functionality:

The user's requirement is for the system to enforce a minimum of 6 digits in this field, disallowing any entries with less than 6 digits during the creation or extension of materials using transaction codes MM01, MM02, and ZSD338.

The message will display as "Control code field requires a minimum of 6 characters".

• For the reference the material number is 3401114 in Dev system.
• The Control code field name is MARC-STEUC.

1. Quality Management, Accounting & Costing views restriction.

Existing functionality:

When utilizing the MM01, MM02 &  ZSD338 transaction codes to create or extend materials, if the Quality Management, Accounting & Costing view is not selected, the system currently permits the creation of the material.

• The material referenced is 3401114.

 New functionality:

• However, the user's requirement is for the system to restrict the creation or extension of the material when the Quality Management, Accounting & Costing view is not selected while using the MM01, MM02 & ZSD338 transaction codes.

• During the creation or extension of Material using transaction codes MM01, MM02, and ZSD338, if the Quality Management view is not selected, the system should restrict the process and display an error message stating, "Quality Management view is mandatory."

• During the creation or extension of Material using transaction codes MM01, MM02, and ZSD338, if the Accounting view is not selected, the system should restrict the process and display an error message stating, " Accounting view is mandatory."

• During the creation or extension of Material using transaction codes MM01, MM02, and ZSD338, if the Costing view is not selected, the system should restrict the process and display an error message stating, " Costing view is mandatory."

Condition:

 The TVARC parameter needs to be created for material type. The above mentioned all functionality should work only on the basis of material types maintained in the TVARC table.
