Stock Transfer Order (STO):

A Stock Transfer Order (STO) is a document used in supply chain management and inventory control to facilitate the movement of stock from one location to another within the same organization. This is often necessary for balancing inventory levels across different warehouses or branches. 

Inter Company STO:

An Inter-Company Stock Transfer Order (STO) is a specific type of Stock Transfer Order that occurs between different legal entities or subsidiaries within the same parent company or corporate group. This type of transfer involves the movement of goods between entities that are part of the same corporate structure but operate as separate, distinct companies. 

Inbound delivery:

An Inbound Delivery is a logistics and supply chain term that refers to the process of receiving goods into a warehouse or storage facility. It involves various steps to ensure that products are correctly received, inspected, and recorded into the inventory system. 

Assignment of Quantity role:

The Assignment of Quantity role in inventory management and logistics refers to the process of allocating or assigning specific quantities of inventory to different roles, tasks, or purposes within a business. This is a crucial function in managing inventory effectively, ensuring that stock is available where it’s needed, and optimizing supply chain operations.

Quantity offsetting profile:

A Quantity Offsetting Profile is a concept often used in inventory management, accounting, or supply chain systems to handle the reconciliation of discrepancies or adjustments in quantities. It’s designed to manage how inventory or financial discrepancies are addressed and offset within a system. 

Quantity role SN:

The Quantity Role SN is a concept used in inventory management, particularly within systems that track serial numbers and manage inventory with serial number tracking. The "SN" stands for "Serial Number," which is a unique identifier assigned to individual items or units of inventory.

Steps to replicate and solution for Queue Error "Product 9122 serial no. requirement; qty role SN missing for item type"

Step1: Created Stock transfer order using transaction code ME21N

Step2: Create Outbound delivery using transaction code VL10B

Since its EWM managed the delivery is distributed.

 

Step3: Queue stuck in SMQ2 with error message as “Product serial no. requirement; qty role SN missing for item type” 500072144

This is caused because of the Assignment of quantity role SN is inactive in the configuration.

 

 Step4: Current configuration maintained

The Assignment of Quantity Roles SN is maintained as inactive.

Step6: Go to Inbound queue using the transaction code SMQ2 and Reprocess the failed Queue.

Step7: Outbound delivery is distributed to EWM, Display using the transaction code /N/SCWM/PRDO
