This blog post will discuss how to implement SAP Yard Logistics in your company. Since you already have SAP YL, which is an add-on that you can purchase separately from SAP, please remember that SAP YL is always an add-on for your Embedded S4 HANA system. It is important to note that SAP Yard Logistics is designed to optimize yard operations, such as managing trailers and containers, improving efficiency, and reducing costs. By integrating SAP YL with your existing SAP system, you can streamline processes and enhance visibility across your supply chain.
Many features set SAP YL apart from SAP EWM Yard Management. With SAP EWM Yard Management, you can only manage your warehouse at a very basic level. In contrast, with SAP YL, you can plan your schedules, loading and unloading procedures, and yard operations with feature-rich features like real-time process optimization and monitoring (e.g Cleaning process, TU Quality check, Movements, loading/unloading and so on).
The process will become fantastic for your business when your YL meets with DAS, EWM, and TM.
I wanted to specifically inform you all that your YL can be linked to EWM TM and PM.
Remember that your SAP YL warehouse will utilize the foundation of EWM and operate on top of its core functionality when you begin implementing SAP YL. This will help you avoid confusion with EWM warehouse.
Since you are likely implementing SAP YL in your system for the first time, please confirm that you have completed the setup listed below in order for SAP YL to function.
Let's find out the secret. I will discuss SAP YL configuration and process chapter by chapter in my next blogs.
One of the manuals SAP YL provides for preserving and sharing texts from older documents is text schemas.
SAP YL We deal with attachments related to business documents on a daily basis. You have the ability to store, view, download, and print attachment files.
The warehouse for SAP YL is different from the SAP EWM warehouse; if you are integrating SAP YL with SAP EWM, you should use a different name in the SAP YL warehouse; otherwise, you will not be able to connect your EWM warehouse and YL warehouse. As I previously stated, don't get confused with warehouse creation if you are from EWM.
These are the essential details that you must provide in order for the warehouse to function (weights, measurements, time, volume, etc).
