Introduction:
SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) is mostly used in different business-like Technology and Services, Oil & Gas Energy, Chemicals and Food & Beverages. SAP Plant Maintenance is a functional module which handles the maintaining of equipment's for Service and repair. The integration of a plant maintenance system with an SAP EWM system involves coordinating maintenance activities and managing the inventory and logistics in your warehouses. This integration includes processes such as asset management, maintenance scheduling, work order management, and asset tracking.
In this blog I will explain how the SAP Plant Maintenance (EAM) is Integrated with SAP Extended Warehouse Management
Process Flow
To achieve this, we must go with following steps.
S/4HANA Configuration
1)Define Maintenance Planning plant.
PATH: - SPRO-IMG- Enterprise Structure - Definition - Plant Maintenance - Maintain Maintenance Planning Plant
2)Create Structure Indicator for Functional Location
PATH: - SPRO-IMG- Plant Maintenance and Customer Service – Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service – Technical Objects- Functional Locations- Create Structure Indicator for Reference Locations/Functional Locations
3)Define Category of Functional Location
PATH: - SPRO-IMG- Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Technical Objects- Functional Locations- Define Category of Functional Location
4)Define Planner group
A person or group of persons are responsible for the PLANNING and PROCESSING of several maintenance Work Orders.
PATH: - SPRO-IMG- Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Technical Objects- General Data- Define Planner group.
5)Define Work Center
It represents a unit that can perform work. It can be a group of person, equipment and special resources used to MANAGE the work order and/or PERFORM work order operations during maintenance execution. There are 2 types, Main Work Centre (responsible for overall management of the work) and Operational Work Centre (executes the operation activities).

7)Create Functional Location
A functional location represents the system area at which an object can be installed. Objects that can be installed at functional locations are called pieces of equipment in the SAP system
Tcode:IL01
8)Create a Equipment
An equipment is an asset or an individual object that can be maintained independently. It is tangible and can be moved from place to place. An equipment can be installed or dismantled at functional locations.
Tcode:IE01
Here in the Structure tab we need to add the to which functional location the equipment need to be installed
Verify the Equipment installed under Functional Location
