Enhancing Field Operations with SAP Dynamic Forms and SAP Asset & Service Manager

Lately, we've been heavily involved with several clients in implementing form solutions for the SAP Asset & Service Manager mobile tool. We've worked with various industry solutions for interactive forms in mobile applications. 

Today, I want to share our experience using SAP Dynamic Forms. 

 What is SAP Dynamic Forms?

SAP Dynamic Forms is a recently integrated tool with SAP Asset and Service Manager. This solution allows you to associate forms with: 

• Equipment
• Functional Locations
• Work Orders (header or operations)
• Service Orders
• Task Lists

Key Features and Benefits

Here are some relevant functionalities: 

• Filling out forms using a user-friendly environment to add text, dropdowns, lists, digital signatures, etc. 
• Integration with measurement points to identify them and record measurement documents in the field. 
• Creating maintenance notifications if certain conditions are met in the form.
• Storing forms as PDF attachments to the object with which the form is associated. 

This tool has significant potential due to its integration through the Mobile Application Integration Framework (MAIF) and its versatility. 

Beyond SAP Asset & Service Manager

It's also important to note that filling out forms isn't limited to SAP Asset & Service Manager. You can also instantiate and fill these forms through the FIORI user interface.
