Introduction:-
This blog includes configuration and master data set up to achieve automatic generation of packing items in delivery document.
Business requirement :-
When business need to have visibility of what packaging material used in deliveries as well as how many quantity of packing material has been consumed to prepare shipment. then we have to perform below stated configurations and master data setup to achieve business requirement.
To achieve requirement below configuration has to be set up.
Configuration
1. Define Packaging material types
SPRO--> Logistics Execution-->Shipping-->Packing-->Define Packaging Material Types for Shipping.
2. Define packaging material group for packing material.
SPRO--> Logistics Execution-->Shipping-->Packing-->Define Material Group for Packaging Materials
3. Define Allowed packing material types.
SPRO--> Logistics Execution-->Shipping-->Packing-->Define Allowed Packaging Materials
4. Define packaging material at EWM
SPRO--> SCM Extended Warehouse Management-->Extended Warehouse Management-->Cross-Process Settings-->Handling Units-->Basics-->Define Packaging Material Types for Warehousing
5. Maintain Allowed Packaging Material Types for Packing Group
SPRO--> SCM Extended Warehouse Management-->Extended Warehouse Management-->Cross-Process Settings-->Handling Units-->Basics-->Maintain Allowed Packaging Material Types for Packing Group
6. Assign number ranges for Packaging material
SPRO--> SCM Extended Warehouse Management-->Extended Warehouse Management-->Cross-Process Settings-->Handling Units-->External Identification-->Assign Number Range Intervals to Packaging Material Types
7. Activate automatic generation of packaging items.
SPRO--> SCM Extended Warehouse Management-->Extended Warehouse Management-->Goods Issue Process-->Outbound Delivery-->Automatically Generate Packaging Items.
Activate Delivery item for combination of warehouse and Delivery type.
select warehouse line and double click on Relevance of Pack materials.
Select line and click on Determination of Delivery Item Type and maintain delivery type item type and stock type
in this configuration assign packing material to EWM document type and item type OPHU and select stock type as F2.
8. For ECC delivery type activate automatic packaging indicator.
SPRO-->Logistics Execution-->Shipping-->Deliveries-->Define Delivery Types.
9. Assign packaging material item categories to delivery type with usage of PACK.
SPRO-->Logistics Execution-->Shipping-->Deliveries-->Define Item Category Determination in Deliveries.
Master Data set up
1. Create Packaging material and assign packaging material type and group in sales general/plant data view what we have created in above configuration
2. If Packaging material is inventory managed then goods movement bin should be maintained in transaction
/SCWM/GMBIN_DET.
Test case:-
- Create sales order by using transaction Tcode VA01.
- Create delivery with reference to sales order using Tcode VL01N.
- Perform Picking activity in EWM
- During Packing select packing material EP1RA-01 to perform packing in transaction /SCWM/PACK for EWM delivery.
- Performing Goods issue from EWM deliver.
After Goods issue ODO contains packing material along with quantity
in ECC delivery also packaging material will appear
Conclusion:-
By Performing all above configuration and master data set up packaging material will start populating in EWM delivery as well as in ECC delivery with quantity which has been consumed perform packing in work-center.
