After configuring the integration between SAP TD and SAP TM, as described in the blog post below:

I ran some tests and had trouble reversing the documents created automatically during the integration. I therefore thought it would be interesting to document the way I found to reverse, recreate and display the documents.

This guide is based on the “Status TM” tab of the transportation document (app o4f3), one of the screens that shows all the documents created in the integration.

1. Access the Transport document - TM Status tab

  • Attention: This step is important in order to see and note down the document numbers that have been created in SAP TM.

2. Cancel Freight Order

3. Cancel Freight Unit

  • Attention: During testing, I realized that when I reversed the Freight Order, I also had to reverse the Freight Unit. Only then was it possible to carry out the next step successfully.”

4. Quantity assignment

a. Access the APP o4l1, enter the transport document number and click on Create/Modify.

Points to note when reversing documents

During testing, I noticed that when reversing any of the documents in the TM (FU or FO), the SAP eliminates the document flow that appears in the o4f3 app, as shown in the example below:

  • Document flow between SAP TD and SAP TM modules that appears in the o4f3 App

  • Cancel Freight Order

When you cancel the Freight Order, SAP still maintains the link between the freight unit (TM) and the shipment document (TD).
You can see this via the Freight unit's document flow tab, as shown in the image below:

Meanwhile, in the TM Status tab of the o4f3 App, there are no TM documents.

After a series of tests, I realized that in order to successfully reverse the documents, I had to follow the 4 steps described in this blog post.
