In version 2023 it is possible to integrate the SAP TD and SAP TM modules in a Standard way, as mentioned in the links below:

The integration was successfully configured by performing the following steps:

  1. I asked Basis to activate the following business function
    OIL_TM_BASED_SHPMNT_COST_CALC.

  2. Configure the "SBGRFCCONF" t-code
According to SAP's instructions available at the BGRFC Configuration link.

  3. Define TD-TM integration relevance, via the SPRO path below:
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide-> Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream)->TM-Based Shipment Cost Calculation-> Application Settings -> TD-TM Integration -> Define TD-TM Integration Relevance

  4. Define logistics integration profile, through the SPRO path below
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide Industry -> Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) -> TM-Based Freight Costing->TD-TM Integration -> Define Logistics Integration Profile

  5. Set TD transport relevance to bulk transport, via the SPRO path below:
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> Industry  Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) ->TM-Based Shipment Cost Calculation-> Application Settings-> TD-TM Integration ->  Define TD Transportation Relevance Bulk Transportation

  6. Activate TM-based freight costing using the SPRO path below:

    After:

    • Attention: If this step is not performed, the TM documents will not be displayed in the "TM Status" tab of the TD transport document (o4f3), as illustrated in the image below:

  7. Set up Freight Unit creation rule
Choose TD_TM_INT. This strategy allows SAP to create the Freight Order automatically and assign the TM flow within the TD shipment document.

  8. Execute Transaction OINSC_MD – Mapping Master Data - IS-OIL to TM
    marcsousap_5-1723660173996.png
    • Attention: If you do not perform this step, SAP does not create the Freight Unit in TM, as shown in the image below:

Configuration tests

After completing all the steps above and creating the necessary documents in the TD module, it will be possible to access the Freight Unit and Freight Order through the TD transport document.

TM Status Tab – Transport Document – T-code O4f3

It will also be possible to view the documents in the freight order flow.

Transactions that helped me analyze the errors I faced during testing:

  1. OINSC_MD – Master Data Mapping – IS-OIL to TM.
  2. OINSC_TDQTYACheck Logs for errors in document creation during integration.
