Work item return to approver in WF using approval with completion

Hi,

We are using SRM 7, and we have a requirement where IF Shopping Cart contains free text items it will go to the expert. These experts then will have the authority to change the SC, and send it back to the original creator for acceptance. When the creator accept the changes, then the SC should go to the real Approval.

I have configured first step in the workflow (Step 100) to be approval with completion, and the next step will be the approval (Manager, VP, Director, and so on). So when the creator order the SC it goes to first level (step 100). The first approval, change the SC and using inquire function return the item to SC creator. However after SC creator accept the changes, rather than going directly to the approval step 200, it goes back to the step 100. Is that how it suppose to work?

Hello John,

Yes, what you describe is the standard design for Completion level as approver did an "Inquire".

I did not think any workaround is possible to answer to your request.

You can't you do through TEAM CART rather than routing for Approval, The TEAM CART functioality is for this kind of business process
