I need to maintain a set of G/L accounts for internal goods/services in a classic scenario, I see there is a SPRO link
SPRO -> SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Account Assignment - > Define G/L Account for Product Category and Account Assignment Category.
None of the categories present there indicate Internal Goods/Services, If i maintain the Account assignment here, how will that be read during creation of SC for Internal Goods/Services?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
Please confirm you are going to create shopping cart for direct material, if I am right then the GL account is not necessary and also account assignment tap will be also disappeared.
You are not require to do this configuration for direct material procurement.

Hi Naga,
We are not going to procure direct material through Internal Goods/Services, there is no Stock for these materials.
Can you please advice if it is possible to use Internal Goods/services for non-stock Material? Also the Product Ids are not defined, only Product Categories exist in the system.
Hi,
You can certainly use Internal Goods/services for non-stock Material.
As you say Product ID is not defined; can you tell how have you got material(product) in SRM from ECC?
As well if Prodcut is not present in the system & you want to create/order one, you should order by Free Text.
Regards,
Materials are also not maintained in the Backend, This is the case.
As per my understanding we need to maintain table entries in COMM_PRODUCT table for products to be available in search in Internal Goods/Service by Product ID.
Another point I would like to clarify is the follow-on docs for this SC would always be a reservation or can we have a PO created directly in the backend same as the normal SC. (Classic Scenario)
According to my understanding a reservation is created based on the availability of the material but since this is a non-stock item then what would happen?
