When trying to approve own shopping cart raise an error message

Hi,

I had a requirement to raise an error message when the requester is trying to approve his own shopping cart.

I had written the error message in DOC_CHECK_BADI, but when I cliked the approve button system is giving the message shopping cart contains error-> approval not possibel instead of actual custom message.

Can anybody through some Ideas on this.

Hi,

The requester has never received the approval workitem. The requester is excluded in workflow side.

Which workflow template do you use?

Hi Masa,

But when manager is used for substition and the subtitute is requester then the requester can approve all the shopping carts in managers inbox including his shopping carts.

Hi Veera,

The exclusion that Masa mentioned does not apply when using substitution or forwarding. The reason behind this is that the manager has the authority to select the person he wants to substitute him.
