What is the difference between partners and bidder in SRM?

Hi All,

As a new learner of SRM want to know whether partners and bidders are same.

Have to develop a piece of code where we need to get list of bidders for a RFx.

Checked the fm BBP_PD_BID_GETDETAIL . After passing the RFx number, this gives the partners list in a table. There are 2 bidders and 8 items found in RFx screen

After executing the above fm ,found that the partners data is more than 2,though the partner numbers are repeating.

Could provide help on this, to know how to get the list of bidders through table/function module. Also kindly provide links and tips how the bidding process works.

Hello Ramesh,

do not understand your problem, Bidders are not the only partners at RFx Header level.

It is normal to have more partners than Bidders...

Check in SAP GUI with transaction BBP_PD for Object Type BUS2200.

Partners concept is very common in SAP world...
