SAP notes says

Note 1405557 - Contract being assigned to header of HIER Shopping Cart

A HIER Shopping cart(SC) with 2 line items is available in Sourcing Cockpit for processing. User adds the SC to workarea and manually enters 2 different contract number and contract line number to the SC line items. Then he clicks on the "Create Purchase Order" button, in the next screen(Purchase order Preview), the system correctly proposes 2 different PO's. But incorrect contracts are assigned on the header level for SC having hierarchy. This is wrong, as for HIER header lines, there is no need to assign a contract.

what is HIER shopping cart?

Hi Muthu,

It's hierarchy. The note specifically says there shouldn't be a SOS/contract assigned to the outline (placeholder). Only the two subitems should have a contract as SOS assigned.

Kind regards,

Before SRM 7, typically, SC items with HIER type are service items coming from ECC. Try to create a purchase requisition with a service item (item category "D") with a few sub items and transfer the PR. You might see HIER on SC item type in SRM.
