What are the Difference Between "Rfx" and "Auction"?

Dear SRM Experts,

I am MM consultant; new to SRM.

I am trying to prepare list of difference between "RFx" and "Auction" for better understanding of the subject. I am able to see some differences, for example,

1. In Auction "Weights and Scores" tab is not available, where as this facility is not available in RFx?

(I hope this observation is correct?)

WHAT IS THE EXACT LIST OF DIFFERENCES?

However whether the example which I took is correct?

Whether "Weighing and Ranking" in RFx and "Factored-Cost Bidding" in Auction are similar/Equivalent Features?

I request experts to contribute some more points to this thread.

Both are different methods

In RFx the method used is ""Weighing and Ranking" and in auction""Factored-Cost Bidding" method are used.
