Vendor Replication Process

Hi Experts,

In Vendor Master Replication, may I ask what is the difference between

Internal Number Assignment Only

Only Transfer R/3 Numbers

If R/3 Number Assignment is not Possible: Internal Number Assignment

Normally I choose option 3 but would like to know if there is an impact if I select the other two options.

Hi Sherwin,

Please check the significance of each option:

Internal Number Assignment Only

- Assigns the BP number range maintained in your SRM system irrespective of the vendor number that you are replication from ECC system.

Only Transfer R/3 Numbers

- Only uses the same number which was used in ECC system. (Ex: If vendor# 123 is being replicated from ECC system, the same number would be used after vendor is replicated and created in SRM system. If vendor# is already used for another Business partner, system would throw an error).

If R/3 Number Assignment is not Possible: Internal Number Assignment

- First will create a vendor with the same# as in ECC system and if that number is already utilized in your SRM system, it will assign a number from internal number range maintained for Business Partner in SRM system.
