Vendor push from ECC to SRM

Hi All,

Why is it always that vendor is replicated in SRM system from ECC system (using BBPGETVD)? Why do we not push vendors from ECC system as and when it is created in ECC system, is there any limitation?

What are the possible ways to do it if we want to achieve this functionality?

I do not want this process to initiate in SRM, instead I want to initiate this in backend system.

Please suggest.

if i correctly understand, you want vendor replication from ECC to SRM being triggered in backend?

This means when vendor is saved after creation/modification, so in a synchronous way?

Maybe Business Transaction Event 00001421 (VENDOR MASTER DATA: Save with data transfer) could be used.

I know it is possible for CRM.

This is has to be checked.

Hi Pankaj,

Schedule some background jobs in SRM for updating or adding vendors as on when they get created in ECC, if you are using more than one purchasing organization then lets create one more update vendor job in SRM. I guess it will help you

Hi,

Schedule the program BBP_VENDOR_SYNC in SAP SRM system. so this program will fetch automatically all the vendor created or updated.

I do not understand the question a lot ..

Ideally the Vendor is created in ECC system and gets replicated to SRM .

If you however create vendor using Portal in SRM it goes back to ECC so that it could be validated and data be completed in ECC side after which it gets replicated again back in SRM . So I guess it works the way you want it to ?
