Hi,

I have created vendor master in ECC and replicated it to SRM.

Now I want to create userid and password for this vendor so that vendor can log on to the netweaver portal.

Please let me know how to create userid and password for a new vendor

Hello Sandip,

Please let us know the version of SRM.

I am not sure if you mean SRM or SUS.

Vendors are not granted access to SRM but to the Supplier Self-services (SUS) system.

Replicating vendors from ECC to SRM is one step in the process of enabling supplier self -services.

The next step is to have XI integration setup between SRM and SUS.

Make sure vendor master has email id setup.

After this if you make the Vendor as Portal Supplier.

This action will replicate the Vendor from SRM to SUS. After the replication, 2 emails are generated to the vendor, one with URL and user name, other with password.

Using this info vendor users can login into SUS.

Let me know if this helps.

Regards,

Sushil.

Hi Sushil,

Thanks for the response.

I am working on SRM 7.0. I want to create userid on netweaver portal ( Not SUS) for supplier. So that the contact person can login to netweaver portal and send bid response.

Sorry.... got your requirement now.

Please do the following:

1. Login with a user having role /SAPSRM/ST_PURCHASER or /SAPSRM/ADMINISTRATOR in portal. The same role should be assigned in SU01 for your user in SRM system also.

2. Go into Business partner. Choose External Business Partner-> Suppliers. Choose the Supplier from the table and click on button Create Contact Person with Reference.

3. Enter all details. Check "Create User for Contact Person" if you want to create new su01 user or if you want to create su01 user for bidder separately, choose Existing su01 user option.

4. Save. A mail should be triggered for the Bidder/Vendor contact person at this point .

5. When creating RFX, choose this contact person as the contact person for the vendor in Bidders tab.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Sushil,

I have created contact person for the supplier. However I am not able to login to netweavwer portal using the userid and password that is created.

Please let me know whether there is something more that needs to be done.

The steps I gave will create SRM SU01 user with correct roles. You can verify this by logging into SRM and check if the user is created and /sapsrm/bidder role is assigned to newly created user in su01.

But this process will not ensure a portal user is created for the bidder.

I do not know if the settings to ensure replication of SRM users to Portal is done in your system.

You can directly create a portal user for this new user and do a system mapping to SRM system user. Please take assistance of your portal consultant for this step just in case.

Once the portal user is also created and mapped correctly to su01 user in srm, you can login using the new user id.

Thanks,

Sushil.

Hi Sushil,

Yes SU01 user is created in SRM.

Please let me know how to map this SRM user with netweaver portal user if I create portal user manually.

You should have the option in one of the tabs when you create the user in portal itself.

So this mapping happens in the portal while creating the portal user.

I dont have a system to send you the snap .. sorry.

From netweaver portal ,I created a contact person for supplier. It created a SU01 user in SRM.

Is it that now again I have to go to netwever portal and create one more user. This will be what king of user?

Hello Sandip,

To enable supplier user to login into SRM via portal, you need two users:

1. SU01 user in SRM system with role /sapsrm/bidder

2. Portal user in portal server to login into portal with portal role /sapsrm/bidder. This portal user should be mapped to SRM su01 user using user mapping.

Once this mapping is completed, you will be able to login into portal and access RFX documents in SRM.

In portal once you assign yourself Administrator role, you will have the option to create portal users and do user mapping to srm su01 users.

Please check this.

Thanks,

Sushil.
