vendor for hosting external catalogs

Hi,

We are on SRM 7.1.

We have external catalogs implemented via an external vendor partner.

Our contract with the vendor is expiring and hence I would like to ask my fellow members in the community how they have implemented external punch out catalogs and what are the best recommended vendors for hosting the catalogs based on their experience?

Hi,

Punch out catalogs must follow OCI standards. Check out following link for documentation: www.attsuppliers.com/downloads/OCI_40_EN20030611.pdf

On SRM side you just have to mention URL (punch out catalog) given by supplier in Catalog ID, org structure attribute.

Thanks Vinay.

So if I need to enable Punch out catalogs from SRM,I would need to give only URL provided by the supplier in the ORG Structure attributes right?

Is there anywhere else in the config I need to mentioned this URL?

The solution I'm looking for is to provide a link for the Punch out catalog in the Shopping cart screen on click of which the control will directly go to the vendor's catalog website.Using the settings you mentioned,is that possible?

Also I'm assuming that MDM is not required for punch out catalogs right?

Only if we need to control and manage the catalog data from the vendors,we would need to implement the MDM system right?

Thanks again for your time.

Hello,

The punch out link which vendor provide with user ID and password you have to first configure it in SPRO under SAP Supplier Relationship Management --> SRM Server --> Mater Data --> Content Management --> Define External Web Service.

You have to define web service ID (your vendor name for example dell or staple). Then assign Vendor account number inside Business partner once you define Web service ID double click on there. In there you can set up other attributes as well to check Product with your material master etc.

Once done click on Standard Call structure and define following parameters; where URL will be URL provided by vendor, User ID and password also provided by vendor.

10                    XXXXXXXXXURL
20usernameXXXXXXXXXFixed Value
30passwordXXXXXXXXXFixed Value
40HOOK_URL                                                                                                                                    Return URL
50~OkCodeADDIFixed Value
60~target_topFixed Value
70~callerCTLGFixed Value

Hook_URL and other parameters are require as define below to get the details back from vendor.

Once you set up this web service ID you have to add this in Organization structure attribute Catalog so that requester can utilize this catalog to shop.

Hope this helps.

Thank you

Ritesh

Hi,

In SRM 7.0 + the additional parameter returntarget with value _top is also required for external catalogs.

In the case of external catalogs no MDM system is required.
