Validation on total attachment on the size in SAP SRM SC/PO

Hello Gurus ,

I am trying to put some validation on total attachment done in SRM for both SC/PO. I could able to do the validation on file attachment but after the attachment is done . I need to do the validation on table as well to calculate the total size (clubing all the external attachment ) and give the error message is the total size exceeds 8 MB .

So just wanted to check if there is any possibility to add some kind of validation on table level.

I could assume that maybe doc_check BADI could be implemented to do validation, and this check could be done before SC / PO is successfully ordered. However it might be impossible to stopping loading the attachment to the document.
