User Settings Are Not Updated

Hi,

I have an issue regarding updation of user data (e.g. telephone) in its Web Settings.

Once I update the data through 'Settings'in Web GUI, I get a message as successfully saved & changed. However

on rechecking the data it is still not updated

Similarly if I change the data through SU01 it is not being reflected in Web GUI.

We are using SRM 5.0 classic scenario

Is there a way to synchronize SU01 & Web Settings data?

Kindly suggest a solution for the same.

Hello,

In the "Manage User data" transaction we have 2 different sections

"User account" which corresponds to SU01 data and "Position" which

contains the relationship address. So the phone number you maintained

in the position section will be not transferred to SU01.

Only the fields available in the "User account" section will be

transferred to SU01.

Thanks for your reply.

However the data updated under 'position' section cannot be seen therafter on the portal itself. The portal still displays the old data.

Kindly suggest a solution.

The "position" section of your "setting" screen comes from the user's Business Partner data, not the user data (SU01). If you would like to change that on the web, you should change the BP data for the user through BP transaction. (To find the BP number from user ID, you could use PPOSA_BBP transaction and search for User.)

The changes I make in BP are still not reflected in "position" section of the user settings on SRM Web GUI.

Please suggest a solution for the same.

Hm. I would then think that since your BP data is replicated from ECC HR system, you would have to modify your user's information there in HR. Then PFAL the information to sync with SRM.

We are not using the HR module.

Kindly suggest any other solution for the same.

Pratyush,

Take the BP number of the Org. unit you are linked to (from PPOSA_BBP) and do the changes u like ( e.g.address details)

in BP transaction code and the same ll be reflected to your portal.

Try this:

1) Transaction BP; enter the user's BP number and display

2) Click on "Relationship"

3) Find the proper org / group the user belongs to with "Is Employee of" tab and double click

4) If your data is not from HR, then you should be able to update the address information here

5) Save
