Update latest catalog item value in shopping cart for external requirement.

Hi SRM Experts

We are in implementation of SRM 7.0,

Requisitions are transferred to SRM through external system (Inbound Interface), Before converting these requisitions in to SRM Shopping cart, we need to check Item value for this requisition in external catalog and want to update latest catalog item value in shopping cart.

Does it possible? And How to do this?

Please suggest your opinion.

Does external system have catalog connection with SAP OCI?

Does external system have catalog ID and catalog item ID?

An idea is calling OCI validate in external system before transfer.

Does external system have catalog connection with SAP OCI? : External system is MAXIMO which doesn.t have catalog connection.

Does external system have catalog ID and catalog item ID? : need to validate external system Product categoty and Item ID with catalog ID and catalog item ID.

An idea is calling OCI validate in external system before transfer.

Do we need to use class/method which is used to replace free text item with catalog item and or create SC with reference to old catalog shopping cart ?

Hi,

I guess your requirement is free text items in external requirement should be replaced by catalog item automatically.

It is not possible logically because it is not 1-1 mapping.
