Unable to create Bid Response in SRM7.0

Hi,

I have created a RFX (Bid) and I have assigend multiple vendors as bidders.

I have also updated the Suppliers with Surrogate bidding checkbox.

Now I would like to enter bid responses for the bids. I could not find a link.

Please let me know what we are missing.

We are in SRM7.0 ECC 6.0. we are not using SUS at this moment.

Select the line which has bidder with contact details in RFX. This will enable 'Response on behalf' button.

I have this same issue but have gone through all the steps and the "Response On Behalf" link is still not active. I can create a bid on behalf of a supplier if I log into the gui and use the transaction BBP_QUOT_BOB but it does not work in the Portal.

Hi,

If surrogate bidding check box is enabled for the bidders, then the purchaser can create a response for those bidders.

In Responses and Awards screen, select the bidder for whom the response is to be created and click on the Response on behalf menu button. Choose the menu option create. Now purchaser can create a response on behalf of that particular bidder.

Hi,

You will get the Responses and Awards Button in the RFx only after publishing the RFx.

Have you published your Bid Invitation?

I did publish the Bid. While I am on the bid, I click on Responses and awards link.

t took me to another screen Responses and awards. On that screen I see the bidders for which surrogate bidding option enabled and at the same time Response on behalf enabled.

Unfortunately I do not see a link for Create response.

Hi,

On clicking Response on behalf menu button did you get any option other than Create Response.

Could you please clarify on this.

Also, please check if the start date and time has reached. A bid can be created only after the start date has reached.

The step by step procedure is as follows:

1. Create an RFx

2. Enter all the mandatory fields.

3. Add bidders

4. Add items

5. Publish the RFx

Now check the status of the RFx ..It should be published( Not in awaiting approval. If it is waiting for approval then the respective person should accept it)

Once the RFx is published:

1. Bidder can use the link which they got to create a response or

2. The purchaser can create a response on behalf of the bidder, provided surrogate bidding is enabled for that particular bidder.

Bidder can create a response only if the start date has reached and submission deadline has not yet been reached.

If the RFx is public then any bidder can create a response for that by registering.

Are you log in via suppliers id for submiting bid against bid invitation

or

process surrogae bid menu you can submit bid on behalf of supplier.

what is the start date ?

Start date is set as today.

I am trying to process using surrogate bid option.

I have set the surrogate bid for the bidders.

I could not see any link for responses and awards screen.

I am gettign a feeling that some of the portal roles are missing.
