Two catalogs for one SRM

Dear SAP experts,

We are in SRM 7.01 with backend ECC 6.05, deploying classic scenario and we're working with MDM Catalog. We are using central contract scenario where we are having scenario where we have service hierarchy within our contract.

I see from SAP library, that for one repository of MDM catalog we need to choose whether to use it as product or MSS (service with hiearchy). This making difficulty for us as we intend to use auto-populate function from contract to catalog.

Is it possible for us to make two repositories of catalog (let's say A and B) and then configure so that materials will go to catalog A, while service will go to catalog B?

You can create two different catalogs for Products & Services respectively. & then can assign products & services respective catalogs.
