Turn OFF Email Notifications from SAP Business Network to Suppliers

Hello Experts,

We are enabling commerce Automation and Ariba Invoice Management with our Non-SAP ERP System. As part of this, one of our requirements is to Turn OFF all the email Notifications about Purchase Orders and Goods receipt details from SAP Business network to Supplier. Is this possible?

The Purchase Orders created in our Non-SAP ERP System today are sending email notifications to suppliers already, we don't want to confuse the suppliers with additional emails coming from SAP Business Network as it might lead to duplication of sending orders from Suppliers.

Can someone please throw some light on whether this is possible in Network and if so, what will we miss with turning OFF the notifications apart from suppliers being able to do PO flip over interactive emails over network. Please note that most of our suppliers are not over network and we would like to push the suppliers to move over to Network or have registered in network (Even if its standard account), so we can expect the invoices flowing from network to our Ariba Invoice Management for reconciliation.

Any guidance or help on how to achieve Turning OFF email notifications on PO and GR over network to suppliers would be very helpful. Also, can we turn OFF the emails in Network based on document Type, For example turning off emails for PO and GR but enabling emails for Invoices (If invoices are created from buyer)?

Hello Velu,

From a supplier's perspective, and when transactions are taking place through SAP Business Network, the suppliers themselves manage the notifications they wish to receive or not. 

Moving your suppliers to the network is a great way to transact with them with renewed efficiency and transparency, allowing them to not only secure smooth business with you, but also grow their portfolio by transacting with other customers, all while using the same supplier account - entirely for free in the case of a standard account.

Notifications can be toggled on and off based on document type, but once again I believe this can only be done from the supplier account.
