Trigger approval for Event Time Extension or Reduction

Hello Team,

We are implementing ARIBA Sourcing.

The Client wants to ensure that there is a strict control when event timings are extended and reduced by Project Owner. Currently, there is no approval or workflow triggered

Ideal requirement is to have all time changes approved by Manager before it can re-published.

However, from the documentation, I do not see any approval process straight forward.

Would love to hear if there are any workaround.

Also, even-though the user is a "Junior Sourcing Agent", as he becomes a project owner while creating Sourcing Project, he is able to extend time without any approvals. if there can be any restriction setup at the project owner side as well so that only Sourcing Agent/ Sourcing Manager has the ability to extend time.

Project Owners and Users assigned with the Event Administrator role in the event will always be able to reopen, extend, and reduce timing of the event.

However, the option of setting the Publish Approval task originating from the template of the event can require Junior Sourcing Agents to follow a review workflow before republishing an active event with changes.

This is not possible for a project that is already running or is an ad hoc project in which the template does not have the task set. I would recommend working with your template administrator to update Publish Approval tasks within the project template, but understanding that there is a functional limitation on extending and reducing timing.
