To add the time and date field in "Approval Previewu201D section of workflow.

Description of the Issue: In Buyer Completion workflow, user want to change the work item description.

We are using the SRM 5.0, Extended Classic Scenario. We have Buyer Completion workflow in which work item description is u201CComplete shopping cart of u201C and added dynamically u201C&REQREQ.REQUISITIONERUSER.USER.NAME& u201D this is actually approver name. So it will displayed as u201CComplete shopping cart of Tadek Nelsonu201D.

User want to add the date and time field in work item description. This date and time will be the time and date on which the work item has came into approver inbox. This time and date field will be shown in u201CApproval Previewu201D section of workflow. User wants to display this date and time in work item description that is on header level.

We are using the standard Buyer Completion Workflow 14000044. Can anyone please guide how to carry out this change in workflow.

The problem is resoved by hit & trial method.The steps are shown below to add the time in description of approval inbox :

1) Go to T Code - swdd and put the worklow number.

2) Go to the the Activity step in our case we have selected the step u2018Completion by purchaser 2u2019 and selected the task TS#

3) In Standard task window there is a u2018Work item textu2019 block .There we have selected u2018Redefine work item text u2018button.

4) Select the change mode, Customer Definition fields will come in change mode.

5) For adding the 'Date of Creation' in the customer definition, select the u2018Insert Variableu2019 button adjacent to change button.

6) In Container -> Step-> Creation Date (Creation Date of work item).

Now the description in approval inbox is coming with time of creation of work item.
