Supplier External ID

Hi Experts,

I would like to know trough the Supplier Self Registration when a Supplier is approved, the system generated External ID as the per the print screen
below. I would like to know if this ID can be changed in setup not to give the system generated ID but my own defined ID? I have search in setup and could not find where this id can be set.

Hi Gino,

External ID is a key field in the database table and we cannot modify it after it is set in db. For your case you can write a custom script on Supplier (Class ID 607) Validate event.. before the system generated External id is stored, you can add the logic to define your own external id.. hope this helps!
