SRM RM integration in SRM 5.0

Hi!

I have without success tried to integrate SRM 5.0 with Records Management today. Is this possible without any add-on on standard SRM or is a PPS add-on necessary? Does the integration only work with SRM 7.0? I could not find any oss notes on version 5.0
