Is there a function in the J2EE SRM portal for us to post system messages (like SM02 in ABAP) that pop up when users log in? We would like a way to post system information (outages, updates, etc) in a pop up or banner for users when they get into our SRM system.
Request clarification before answering.
Hello,
Using switch SRM_700_SYSTEM_MSG, you can display SM02 system messages in Portal or NWBC. You can activate it in below SPRO path:
SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Activate/Deactivate System Messages.
If you don't see this entry, please make sure that Business Function SRM_CONT_IMPR is active.
If you still don't see the switch and you are between the below releases, please perform the manual activities in Note 1661598 first:
