SRM-MDM without EP does not work fine

Dear Experts,

I want to bulit a demo environment based srm 7.0 ehp1 with sap pi and without sap ep.

Our installed srm-mdm's version is 7.1.05.66.

I imported the srm-mdm java api and srm_mdm_cat business package into the PI as java server using JSPM.

When I turn the web address http://hostname:sap_pi_java_port/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM, it shows message ' 500 Internal Server Error'!

The detail is:

Error: "Application error occurred during the request processing."

Details: "The WebApplicationException log ID is [0024E851B45E00B300000000000020A4]."

Could you give us some suggestions, why can not we log on the configuration page of srm-mdm?

Is there some steps missing during configure the as java server, or we must install sap ep and use its as java server?

Hi Lorry,

Make sure you port and server is correct.

Make sure your respository is loaded and running in the MDM console.

Hi Sam,

The server is host name which matained in the host file, and the port is SAP PI server as java server port, both of them are correct.

The repository is loaded in console and we could find the product data in data manager console.

Do you have further suggestion?

If you can find the data in the data manager then you can use the below url to test your catalog

https://server:port/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM?username=MDM Username&password=MDM passworde&server=MDM server number&port=&catalog=Respositroy name&uilanguage=en&datalanguage=en&hook_url=debug

I think I miss some steps to connect the mdm server to the SAP PI as java.

Do you konw how to achieve it or do we have some cookbooks or wikis?

Hi,

That you need to ask your techinal guys to do that. I am not aware of the same. The mdm installation guide should have this,
