Hello,
We've configured the following line in an SRM MDM 3.0 'define external webservice' entry.
70 uilanguage SY-LANGU SAP-FIELD
The language is interperted correctly for some users: English. But f.e. for my own user it's interpeting SY-LANGU as 'Dutch'. How come?
My users SU01 language, EP language, BP: Employee language are all configured to 'English'. Where is SAP SRM picking up that this particular users SY-LANGU is 'dutch'? Everything else from within the portal is in 'English'.
Kind regards,
Tim
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Tim,
On my current project, we are using parameter "datalanguage" with value SY-UNAME and SAP field with SRM-MDM.
and parameter sap-locale with value SY_LANGU as sap field.
Are you working through CITRIX ?
Regards,
Yann

This is what my set-up looks like. It should not be the problem. The main issue is that the SRM system picks SY-LANGU up somewhere but i don't know where. I've looked and viewed: SU01 language, EP user language settings and BP:Employee language settings. All these languages are set to 'English', still the page shows up in 'Dutch'. For other users i am able to view everything in 'English'. Basically i need to know where SY-LANGU is picked up from.
Kind regards,
Tim
Hello SRMUSER123 and yann,
The issue seems to have resolved itself overnight. I've yesterday configured the BP:Employee language (from 'empty' to 'english') for my business partner and it didn't work. Now when I load the SRM MDM catalog everything is in english.
No clue how but it's fine now.
Thanks for all your efforts.
Kind regards,
Tim
