SRM issue : ME011 Purchasing group XXX not defined

Hello Experts,

After creating a shopping cart, we got an error as "ME011 Purchasing group XXX not defined" .

I checked the product category, plant and company code and found that all are assigned to PGrp xxx.

I tried to search in community and found few threads related to this(somehow). But unfortunately didn't get any clear idea about this problem.

Please suggest if anything else need to check.

Thank you!

Thanks Manoj for your effort. I appreciate it.

I found the root cause of the problem. Initially, product category was not maintained for PGrp xxx. That is why, shopping cart got failed with error as "ME011 Purchasing group XXX not defined"

But even after assigning the correct Product Category to PGrp xxx, shopping cart is not picking the changed value. Hence we deleted the old shopping cart and created one new shopping cart. Now it is successful.

Thanks,

Check in transaction PPOMA_BBP of SRM system, under the Purchasing Group you will have Responsibilities tab, check if you have assigned the Product responsibility and Organizational Responsibilitu ID's are maintained there are not.

Thanks Manoj for your quick response.

We have assigned both Product Responsibility and Organizational Responsibility.

For product responsibility, we have maintained a range(say 1000 to 5000) and we are using product category 2000 in our shopping cart.

For Organizational Responsibility, two object ids are maintained but not sure, where will we use this id in shopping cart?

Please guide.

Do a small check in SRM system by executing the report BBP_CHECK_CONSISTENCY in SE38 and see if the User has any missing authorizations?

This report will display all the errors.

Manoj,

Do I need to check User's authorization or Buyer's. As in our case user and buyer are different.

I have selected shopping cart as User Attributes for Application. Below is the screen shot of report for user

I don't have any idea about these errors. Could you please suggest me and also please guide me about the role of object ID maintained in Organizational Responsibility.

Thanks,

Rudresh
